AN ASSOCIATE
SUCCESS STORY

How HR has made a positive
impact with our Associates
HR Manager Nancy Sanchez was visiting the AutoNation
Collision Center Buena Park, CA, doing her routine rounds,
talking with Associates and letting them know that she was
available for any of their needs.
That's when she was approached by porter Luis Carillo, who
mentioned that he was very interested in growing with the
company. The only problem was that he didn't know how to
go about taking that first step.
Together, Nancy and Luis created an action plan outlining
what Luis' career path could look like as well as what he
could do to help himself grow - things like shadowing other
positions to become familiar and gain experience.
Then they met with Collision Manager Matt Stuhler to carve
out a realistic career path and timeline, including a detailed
Development Plan. With continued support, guidance and
communication from Nancy, Luis moved up to become
a Collision Customer Service Representative and then a
successful Collision Estimator.
